Error in Contact FormMay 9, 2006 @ 9:23am
2 errors occur in the contact form when edited via pages using the flex editor.

1. The print' command shows in the edit window. (My users will automatically delete this.)

2. If you add any other text to the contact page via the editor a <div> is placed at the start and returns the following error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<' in /home/shuffleb/public_html/index.php(1483) : eval()'d code on line 1

Hope this helps

All the best

Hi Steve,

The contact form is a PHP enabled page and as such will not work with the FlexCMS Page Editor, which by design only works on standard HTML pages. You can still edit the contact form pages, but you will need knowledge of how PHP operates, and can do so through the Page Contents box. If you need some help with this, please let us know.

Also, if you wish to prevent your users from making this mistake or from messing with the PHP pages in general, you have two options. The first is to give them a different permission level, and remove the ability to create or modify PHP content from that level. The other option is to create them a different level, and simply move the Edit Permission Level for those specific pages to one higher than theirs, which will remove those pages from their list of ones they can edit.

To get your contact page to work again, simply follow the instructions on this topic:

If you have any problems or questions, please let us know!

Thanks!
