I can't figure out how to remove this duplication. On each page I create it has the following structure. In this example the About Us page.
Home > About Us
About Us
How do I get rid of the Home > About Us part. I just want the name of the page.

That's the "Show Navigation Links?" option in the Modify Site Preferences section. You can choose whether you want it on all pages, all pages except the home page, or no pages.
