| Domain parameter of php setcookie() function | November 20, 2007 @ 11:54am | Would something like this work?
http://209.85.165.104/search?q=cache:1i2SkOO7bgIJ:www.w3schools.com/php/func_http_setcookie.asp+cookie+%22www.example.com%22+%22example.com%22&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=116&gl=us
setcookie(name,value,expire,path,domain,secure)
Where "domain": Optional. Specifies the domain name of the cookie. To make the cookie available on all subdomains of example.com then you'd set it to ".example.com". Setting it to www.example.com will make the cookie only available in the www subdomain
setcookie("TestCookie", $value, time()+3600*24, "/", ".mydomain.com");

| Stay logged in across browser sessions | November 20, 2007 @ 11:04am | Is there something I can do to tweak this...
I noticed this when I login and check the "Stay logged in across browser sessions" option on the login page.
I login, do some stuff and then close my browser session.
Launch a new browser window and enter the following:
http://www.-my-domain-name-.com and I'm sucessfully back in my site without re-logging in.
When I launch a new browser window and enter the following:
http://-my-domain-name-.com and I am forced to re-login to my site.
Notice the second time I didn't specify the "WWW."
Is there a way to tweak the cookie so that I can return either way and still stay logged in?
Thanks!

| Sometimes you just have to explain something ... | November 20, 2007 @ 10:49am | Sometimes you just have to explain something to someone to figure out what the problem is ...
I figured out what I did (I'm blaming it on old-eyes... that's my story and I'm sticking to it! LOL)
When I created entries for my new admin menu block
Edit Existing or Create New Item:
Link Enter the link:Or select an existing page or function:
I missed that all important word OR and included TEXT for the link AND a function.
I removed the text I'd placed in the LINK field, left everything else as it was and it works!
Daddy's gotta get a new pair of glasses. :-D LOL
Thanks. |

| More info | November 20, 2007 @ 10:38am | Did a little more research and this is what's happening to the links...
When I hover over the link in the new menu (or copy it's properties to the address bar) I see this for a link to PAGES (which does not work)
http://www.-my-website-here-.com/index.php/admin/Pages
When I actually use the control panel to go to the same link (which works), I see this:
http://www.-my-website-here-.com/index.php/admin/pages.html
When I built the menu, I used the Flex dropdown box to select the pages to link to...
Thanks |

| menu blocks | November 20, 2007 @ 10:32am | Hi, love Flex very much! Hope you can help me figure something out...
I created a new BLOCK WIZARD - LINKS TO PAGES BLOCK and assigned it permissions of LEVEL 100.
I then added links to admin pages I use a lot, similar to the CONTROL PANEL - EDIT SITE CONTENT block.
I placed the block in the right column.
The block shows up when I log in as admin.
But when I click on ANY of those links I see the following error message:
Error Displaying Page
We're sorry, but the requested page or function either could not be located, has passed or not yet started its viewing period, or your permissions are not sufficient to view it. Please go back and try again, and contact the webmaster if you believe this to be in error.
Did I miss a setting somewhere?
Thanks! |

| November 6, 2007 @ 11:51am | Steve,
You should be able to specify the absolute URL of the Flash file in your HTML code. It would just be "http://www.yourdomain.com/wherever/video.swf." If you're using a relative path, like "video.swf", that's likely where you're running into problems with things like the "pages" folder in the site URLs.

| How do I add flash video? | November 6, 2007 @ 7:23am | Hi
I've created a page with html to read a flash video, but although the box shows, the video does not play.
I'm not sure where I should be placing the video.swf file to be read from a generated page. I've put it flex top level and also in with the template so far.
Hope this makes sense.

| October 28, 2007 @ 12:27am | Hi JustYourGuy/Wolf,
Thanks for the request. We've had that feature requested before, and it's on the list for a future release.
In the meantime, you can offer the subscription in your store and manually grant the additional privileges once they pay. It's not automated, but would give you a workaround to offer that right now.

| Membership / subscription module | October 27, 2007 @ 12:05am | I love your product and I'm a new user, so I hope you'll pardon me if this question has been asked in a thread I may have missed.
I'm interested in a paid membership/subscription module that would allow users to subscribe to various sections of a site. Perhaps using paypal to send payments?
Actually making it a part of the eCommerce module would be a PERFECT solution <wink> :D <nudge>. Allowing them to purchase membership as a product.
This would be for a neighborhood website - plan on only allowing residents to subscribe, but would like to allow them to be able to choose the features most useful to them.
Anything remotely similar in the works for a future upgrade?
Thank you!
wolf
